We didn’t go empty handed, but we didn’t walk back empty handed either. We didn’t have our hands full, rather blank. But look into the eyes. Look into the mind. Look at the scars. Look at what changed. Look at the smile or is it a frown? Look at what was never there. Look at what we have now.
Look at how much we grew. There’s an Adam’s apple bobbing up. There’s a deep voice vibrating. And There’s also a high pitched voice. A melody to hear, a voice. Open to thee, why shut it out?
Disgrace, we suffered. Pride was pummeled down. Ego was huge, we learnt a compromise.
A compromise, that cost a fortune.
